The TODD Learning Center was established in 2003 as a resource center to help improve upon the social, intellectual,
and professional lives of all of God's people in the Caroline County Community. The TODD Learning Center was named
in honor of Jerusalem Baptist Church's 4th Pastor--Rev. Spencer Todd who served as pastor from 1881-1903. JBC's history
records that although physically blind, Rev. Todd was a man of great vision. He urged his people to buy land, build homes,
educate their children, engage in business, and to serve God by developing well-rounded lives.
The TODD Center has built a relationship with Caroline County School Board and now serves as a satellite learning center
for area school-age kids. A state of the art computer lab and library have been established and the academic progress of the
area children is evident. Many dedicated persons of the Jerusalem Baptist Church Community and others who include several
retired educators come out weekly to labor with our children as we strive to help them in their studies.
Currently the TODD Center offers the following services on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm, as well as upon special requests.
* SOL (Standard of Learning) prep courses
* Computer Literacy classes
* Tutoring in all subject matter
* Mentoring and role models of various professions
* Recreational Activities
